Conditions Of Sale
- The entry list must be accurate and to facilitate prompt payment
ALL ITEMS MUST BE LISTED.
- ALL ITEMS are sold without reserve, unless the Vendor specifically
instructs the Auctioneers to the contrary.
- All goods are sold subject to Trading Standard Regulations. In the
event of any dispute the Vendor would be solely responsible for the
guarantee.
- All electrical items are sold subject to Department of Trade &
Industry safety standards. The Auctioneers cannot be responsible for the refund
of purchase monies in respect of faulty items.
- All furniture and furnishings must comply with (Fire) Safety
Regulations 1988, the only exemptions being furniture made before 1950. Proof
of purchase or declarations are required for any furniture in question to the
above.
- Goods can only be accepted for sale if goods are formerly entered
on the form. The form should be returned to the Auctioneers Offices 7 DAYS
PRIOR TO THE SALE.
- The lowest accepted bid is £1.00 and if no bid is received at
that amount the Auctioneers reserve the right to dispose of the items solely at
their discretion. Any Vendor wishing to remove unsold goods MUST DO SO PROMPTLY
at the end of the sale. It is suggested that Vendors should contact the
Auctioneers before 5.00pm on the day of the sale to check the position. A
handling charge of £2 per furniture items unsold will be charged if not
collected after the sale.
- V.A.T. A Vendor who sends for sale by Auction any chattels which
are an asset of his business MUST disclose to the Auctioneers whether or not he
is Registered person for V.A.T. purposes and, if so, his Registration
Number.
- If the Vendors are in any doubt about the saleability of an item
they should consult the Auctioneers before sending the goods for sale.
- A lotting fee of £1 will be charged per lot, in addition to
our commission of 15%
